Terms of use
Last updated: 25 October 2026
1. About these terms
By using RoadCom you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. RoadCom is provided by Robert-Gabriel Giolu.
2. Your account
You must be at least 16. Give accurate details, keep your sign-in secure, and tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post (places, photos, routes, comments). You give us a free, worldwide licence to host, display, and share it within the app so it can work, including showing it to other users. This ends when you delete the content or account, except copies others have saved or that remain in backups for a short time. Only post things you have the right to share.
Some place photos added by RoadCom come from Wikimedia Commons and Geograph under Creative Commons licences. Each one is credited to its author on the photo.
4. Community rules
Do not post anything that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, misleading, spam, or someone else’s private information. Do not post photos of people without permission or of number plates you do not own. Do not post places or routes that encourage dangerous or illegal driving, racing on public roads, or trespass. Do not impersonate others. Do not scrape the app or try to break it.
5. Reporting and moderation
You can report any place, photo or comment, and block users. We review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, usually without notice for serious cases. Contact team@roadcom.co.uk to appeal. Objectionable content and abusive users are not tolerated.
6. Drive safely
RoadCom is for planning and sharing. Never use it while driving or riding; pull over safely first. You are responsible for obeying the Highway Code and local laws. Route, map and place information is shared by users and may be wrong, closed or unsafe. We do not guarantee it.
7. Meeting people
Be careful when meeting people or visiting places from the app. We do not check users or places, and are not responsible for what happens at meetups.
8. Maps and third parties
Maps use Apple Maps (iOS) and Google Maps (Android) and are subject to their terms. Social links go to services we do not control.
9. Availability and changes
The app is free and provided “as is”. We may change, pause or end features at any time.
10. Our liability
Nothing limits liability we cannot lawfully limit (such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of a free app, including from user content, map errors or loss of data. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (how). We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
12. Governing law
English law applies and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, though if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may use your local courts.
